Wow! What a Book.
This book was published amost 100 years before I was born. My Great Grandmother's mother was six years old when it was published.
So many things have changed. For example, we mostly don't use barrels any more. I know that because I did a report at school about drunk driving. I found an article in the Wall Street Journal about barrels being made mostly to age whiskey. Also I know that even when my Great Grandmother was a girl, she lived near a barrel factory in Missouri where the Sugar Trust made barrels for transporting sugar. Maybe we still have barrels, but they are steel instead of wood.
One thing that hasn't changed is that we still ship heavy goods by rail or ship. Sorry Scotty, we still can't beem it up.
I'm looking forward to really reading this book. It looks totally cool.
